Ruth Cohn

TCI was developed by Ruth C. Cohn (1912-2010\) during her stay in exile in the US, 1941 till 1974. She left Berlin in 1933, lived in Zurich, Switzerland and fled to the US in 1941. Starting as psychoanalytical psychotherapist she moved 'From couch to circle to community'. Some of her texts as a psychotherapist and her first publications about what was later called Theme-Centered Interaction are written in English. Later texts , written when she was back in German speaking  Europe, are translated from German in English.
